Ali graduated with a LL.B (Hons) from Multimedia University (MMU) in 2010. He underwent his pupilage at Messrs. Suhaimi Khor Zulkifli & Chang and was called to the bar in July 2011. Ali began his journey as an Advocate & Solicitor at Messrs. Lua & Mansor where he practiced about 11 years. His main portfolio there was banking litigation and he dealt with contested banking cases including those that start at the trial courts and appealed to the High Court and to the Appellate Court. Ali also handled general litigation matters such as land matters, tenancy disputes, directors'/shareholders' disputes, debt recovery etc.

In January 2022, Ali joined Messrs. Lee & Lim focusing mainly on general litigation such as disputed land matters and directors' disputes. In pursuing his passion for litigation, Ali joined the Firm in November 2022.
