About Us

Messrs Yusfarizal, Aziz & Zaid (YAZ) is a Kuala Lumpur-based law firm founded in January 2016 by three litigators, Dr. Yusfarizal Yussoff, Aziz Mohamed, and Mohammad Zaid Daud, who came together after years of practice at established Malaysian firms. A year after, Muhd Daniel Baharudin joined as equity partner, adding further depth to the team. Throughout the years, YAZ has grown steadily, building a practice known for careful, committed representation across a range of legal matters. ​

We remain, by design, a boutique firm, but we're humbled that this hasn't stopped some of Malaysia's major financial institutions, government agencies, and national corporations from placing their trust in us, alongside the individuals and small businesses who make up the heart of our practice. We don't take that trust lightly. Whether the client is a national institution, a public agency, or someone facing their first legal dispute, they receive the same level of care, preparation, and attention from us. ​

Our partners bring complementary strengths spanning complex dispute resolution, banking and Islamic finance litigation, corporate and commercial law, conveyancing, employment and industrial relations, probate and estate administration and more. Each case is guided by lawyers who know the subject matter well and who work together across departments when a client's needs call for it. ​

We also believe access to justice shouldn't depend on one's means. Through our Legal Aid Bureau (LAB), YAZ offers free legal advice to individuals who need guidance but cannot afford legal representation. It's a way for us to give back to the community we serve, and a reminder to ourselves of why we chose this profession in the first place. ​
